The Company is looking for mature individuals who desire to work from home and who are computer-literate to serve as “Independent Virtual Call Center Agents”. Independent Agents will earn an appropriate fee for each call answered. Additionally, there may be incentives and bonuses available.
Overflow will issue the appropriate 1099 document at the end of the year for tax reporting issues.
Applicants must be able to:
- Demonstrate an aptitude for interpersonal communication
- Possess a basic knowledge of operating a personal computer
- Speak and think clearly, normal hearing is required
- Be self-motivated
- Have the use of at least one arm and hand
- Read at sixth grade comprehension level or higher
- Have a professional, pleasant phone presence
- Maintain a calm, courteous demeanor
- Have a high school diploma or GED
Frequently Asked Questions
Our Independent Agents are paid on a per-call basis. The minimum number of paid calls per hour is four. This means, for example, if you were available to take calls but only two calls came in that hour, you would still be paid for four calls. It is anticipated that ten or more calls per hour may be handled.
Earnings will, therefore, be determined by the number of hours you work as well as the number of calls you take.
How much will I earn per call?
The rate per call will vary depending on the client handled. It is anticipated that the current call rate will be between $1.40 and $1.70.
Additionally, there may be incentives & bonuses available to an agent for educating customers on related products and services of the business they are representing.
What type of schedule will I work?
Each agent will predetermine his/her own work schedule. There is no requirement to work a minimum or maximum number of hours. We will require your schedule two weeks in advance.
What is meant by “Independent Agent”?
As an independent agent, you will contract with Overflow, Inc. to provide virtual call center call answering services. It is recommended that you incorporate. Your corporation will be paid by Overflow using the appropriate 1099 document at the end of the calendar year. If you prefer not to incorporate, you can sign a waiver indicating that you understand the liability and tax issues of not incorporating. You will still be paid on a 1099 basis.
What type of computer and internet service will I need?
The minimum requirements are as follows:
Windows XP or Windows XP Professional
(recommended for best performance)
- 1 Gigahertz processing speed
- 128 MB RAM
- 16 MB HDD free space
- NIC supporting Ethernet 2
- USB port for headset connection
- Antivirus and spy ware protection
(AVG is recommended)

- 64 MB HDD free space
- NIC supporting Ethernet 2

High Speed Internet Service suggestions:
- DSL from Verizon (1.5 MB or higher )
